Itoigawa Jade Ring

This is the first time that MOEMI SUGIMURA attempts to create Hawaiian engraved jewelry.
Oiaio Collection is a collaboration series with tattoo artist Mimura Norito.

The focus is on "jade," a famous oriental gemstone, and is accompanied by Hawaiian engraving from a cultural sphere that is at odds with the opposite side.

Mimura Noritto
He worked as a production staff member at the Hawaiian local subsidiary of Philippe Ricard, a long-established Hawaiian jewelry company that carved craftsmen, and is now independent and active as an artist and lecturer in Japan.

This series combines Japanese Itoigawa jade, which has a strong image of magatama, with Hawaiian carvings, and is an impressive series with a surprising twist that didn't seem to be available.
The vibrant yet gentle colors evoke the Hawaiian sky, the clouds floating there, and the blue sea.

Hawaiian carvings have a meaning that each motif has.
"My Relief" = A new beginning
"Scroll" (shape of waves)=Grow and ride the waves
"Hibiscus" = A happy future where dreams blossom

The back of the stone is also filled with four petal hibiscus, which is openwork, and links to the carving.
